More MediaDefender Missteps

I noticed this story on p2pnet as well as Ars Technica, for those of you who may be put off by a website with “p2p” in the name.

Looks like the content industry’s hired gun, MediaDefender, is once again in hot water for breaking and entering on the digital plane. This time, they illicitly injected torrents onto Revision3’s servers, then

“When we closed off their backdoor access, MediaDefender’s servers freaked out, and went into attack mode – much like how a petulant toddler will throw an epic tantrum if you take away an ill-gotten Oreo.”

Of course, the “evidence” gathered by these law-ignoring criminals continues to be used in court by the RIAA. Way to go.
