So now that it’s been nearly a whole month since I wrote in this thing…
I was on vacation for a week with my mom, little brother, my best friend Jason aka PlatinumTalon, and his younger cousin doubling as my little brother’s friend. I’ve been going to Chincoteague Island, VA every summer for more of my life than I haven’t. I think it’s nine or ten years now.
Anyway, I got a digital camera for my birthday which is very exciting. It’s a Canon Powershot A75 and so far I have been extremely happy with the pictures. We decided to try our hand at “photography” while we were there, among other things. Hence the new pictures and stuff.
Oh and I wrote some poems. Kinda crappy as usual, but that’s how I feel right now. So everybody who’s been asking me on AIM, “Michaela, what are your feelings right now?” can just read those and think about them and know. Sort of.
And we did some fun stuff with the sand at the beach, so I’ll put up some pictures of those things. I wonder how I would categorize a photo of a sand creation?
Right now I’m listening to songs from Evanescence’s true first album, Origin. I really like the songs! It’s going to be my new background music for a while. Thanks a bunch and love to Judy aka pointgiven for burning it out for me. The red bow was a nice touch. While I’m singing the praises of Judy, I should mention that she’s lending me her Wacom tablet for the next month or so. That means I’m going to have to do all sorts of great things with it before she makes me give it back. At least I can try. I can’t wait to take it for a test drive…
I’m also looking for rendering software to use in my artwork attempts. I’d like to hear from anybody that uses them what their experiences have been and what they recommend. Chances are I can get a significant educational discount on the software.
So this has been, “Michaela’s Life,” as if everybody really cared. But yay for whoever actually takes the time to read it, because they are cool.
I love Rachel most of all. While I had fun on this trip, I really missed her as always. I hope I can see her this weekend. I love you precious! I’m still working on the pictures of us from her prom. I finally bought a scanner to input them, and I was working on masking stuff out, which is where the tablet will be wondrous. Yet, even in its digital glory, it is both eclipsed and outshined by Rachel, of course. I love you Rachel.
